Who am I?

​

My name is Mike Rocha, and I am a professional trumpet player with an extensive and diverse background in music performance and education that is unmatched in the music industry.

​

Quite simply, you will not find a better, more well-rounded trumpet teacher out there.

​

• Extensive Teaching Experience: I have taught private lessons and group classes across all levels, from middle school to university and professional settings.
• Ensemble Leadership: As an experienced ensemble leader, I have directed and coached numerous groups, bringing out the best in each member.
• Music Camps and Workshops: I have taught at over a dozen music camps and have been a featured guest artist at numerous music festivals, where I conducted workshops on improvisation, trumpet mastery, and performance techniques.
• Live Performances: I have performed at the world’s top venues and festivals, including Coachella, The Governors Ball, and the Hollywood Bowl.
• International Experience: I completed a two-week solo tour of Japan, teaching masterclasses and performing daily.
• Touring Experience: I have toured 48 US states, Brazil, Japan, and Canada with prestigious ensembles like the Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Mavericks, where my dedication and skills were tested and sharpened.
• High-level Recording Experience: I've been working as a Hollywood studio musician for over a decade across all music genres in high pressure situations that require impeccable sight reading, flexibility, endurance, and skill. Notable projects include Panic at the Disco, Ford v Ferrari, Bob Dylan, Lourde, and Meghan Trainor.
• Grammy Nominations: My work has earned four Grammy nominations, underscoring my excellence in the field.
• Disneyland Performer: I played at Disneyland for seven and a half years, participating in nine different bands.
